	ICANN INTERNET CORPORATION for ASSIGNED NAMES and NUMBERS On July 8, 1999, the Department of Commerce advised ICANN to immediately open its board meetings to the public. We thank everyone who supported the Grey Ribbon Campaign to push this important and appropriate outcome but must remain vigilant that the board meetings are truly open and not merely pro forma pe-determined productions.
